about third

After leaving education Simon worked as a graphic designer gaining knowledge of technology and the importance of design. After seven years, Simon left the office to be more hands on and follow in his father’s footsteps as a woodworker.

After several years as a carpenter often fitting off-the-shelf kitchens, Simon found that popular manufacturers products lacked both the design ingenuity and quality to ensure a well fitting and long lasting kitchen.

As a result of his concern, Simon went on to develop his own bespoke designs, initially building cabinets in his garage and later putting together a more sophisticated workshop in Brighton.

Although he revelled in the challenge of designing each individual kitchen from scratch he also recognised the time and expense that went hand in hand with bespoke, often rendering it an elite product.

With his manufacturing experience in mind Simon decided to draw upon his design skills, this time working with 3D design software that allowed him to create a range of standardized cabinets that could be simply manipulated in terms of scale. With this technology and the help of ecommerce he quickly realised that quality bespoke kitchens could be accessible to many, nationwide.

Our experienced team of designers and craftspeople carefully handmake all of our kitchens in our West Sussex workshop.

All of our kitchens are handcrafted using the best possible materials, using real woods and traditional joinery to ensure that your kitchen is built for living.

We love design and have exhaustively researched the design and build quality of kitchen designs over the years with a view to create a range of timeless kitchens that stand the test of time both practically and aesthetically.

We offer a comprehensive range of cabinets in a variety of styles, designed to suit a wide range of tastes and budgets. Our cabinets are fully customisable so you can add your own mark or adjust measurements to your exacting requirements.

Hand Painting

We hand paint all of our Classic range kitchen and furniture here in our West Sussex mill.

We find that this traditional technique compliments the shaker style beautifully.

We paint all of our furniture using the Little Greene Company's intelligent eggshell, who offer a fantastic range of shades and hues to suit a wide variety of tastes and homes.

Following installation of your new kitchen a final touch-up coat of paint is applied. This way it is fresh and ready for you to move in and begin enjoying your new kitchen.

Our design team are always on hand to help advise you on colours and finishes. From vibrant and bold shades to crisp neutral tones we can help you decide which will work best for you.

We are always very happy to send you a selection of samples of your short listed shades. We always recommend looking at colours in a range of different areas in and around the room as light can have a dramatic effect on your final result.
